Job Description

The IT Systems Administrator will be responsible for the overall management, maintenance, and support of the company's information technology systems. This includes overseeing network infrastructure, managing hardware and software resources, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring data security and backup protocols are in place. The IT Systems Administrator will also collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess and implement new technologies to improve efficiency and productivity.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the company's network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
  • Install, configure, and maintain servers, workstations, and peripheral devices.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective measures.
  • Ensure data security and integrity through regular backups, system updates, and antivirus protection.
  • Provide technical support to end-users, resolving hardware and software-related issues.
  • Collaborate with vendors and service providers to ensure timely resolution of IT-related problems.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies, software, and hardware to improve IT infrastructure and efficiency.
  • Conduct regular system audits to identify vulnerabilities and implement necessary security measures.
  • Stay informed about emerging IT trends and best practices to enhance system performance and security.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role.
  • Proficiency in networking technologies and protocols.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
